San Jose Armed Robbery ends in East Palo Alto

"San Jose police prepare to enter a house in East Palo Alto on Tuesday. Two suspects robbed a San Jose liquor store earlier that day and fled to East Palo Alto. San Jose police, along with East Palo Alto and other departments, searched for the suspects, who are at large."

Another day another robbery... at least no one was hurt...

I was on my way to my sports assignment when I looked down to my cell phone and noticed that I had a voicemail.

Funny I thought... It didn't event show that I had a missed call. I checked my message and hear that I need to make my way to East Palo Alto to photograph something because there was a lot of police out there. I was puzzled since the message was not very clear on what was really needed. I called my editor and started my way out there. It took a good 30 min from one city over due to heavy traffic and road blocks...

As I was trying to make my way through road blocks I decided to park and try a different approach... the "acting stupid" approach. It seemed to work even though I was booted out a bunch of times for crossing lines and such. I FINALLY, after several attempts to get a few photos had a good enough angle to get what you see here.

Samsung World Championship LPGA Tour

Do I have a treat for you guys today!

Note* if you are a publisher please visit ZUMAPress.com to purchase photos for editorial use and licensing.

I had the chance to go out (on my day off) and shoot the LPGA Tour taking place in Half Moon Bay!

With the help of my sponsors, Borrowlenses.com, I was able to get a 500mm lens out there and go to town!

After shorting out through all the images here are a few of my favorite.

Now I didnt have (as well as other photographers) the luxury to have a cart to drive me around, or have a caddy carry my bag of stuff, or just a regular spectator who had a wallet and a beer in their hand, but i did get to carry about 50lbs (or more) of gear through 18 holes (probably more since I switched around) but I did get to cross the lines and get close.

The match in the beginning felt boring and long but once all the golfers hit the course time seemed to fly.

It was good because it gave me some time to get used to shooting golf. The closest thing I got to shooting golf is for the newspaper high school for a total of 20 min.

I hope for you to enjoy these photos and leave comments on what you think about them as well.
