Typical Military
I was reading a post regarding a war photographer today (here)and reminded me of an experience I had while in the Navy. They told him to leave!
A huge accident happened on the flight deck of the ship I was stationed on in a war zone where a bunch of sailors where killed or injured we as photographer where told to leave... but we had a job to do. The end result it did not go well but I was able to get out of it. Here is a video with the individual talking about his experience.

So a lot of us know about the Yo-Yo's we used to use when we where kids... I don't even think I was ever able to "walk the dog" this kid... well lets just say I never seen yoyo skills like this before...

Fire in Palo Alto Calif.
There was a fire yesterday in Palo Alto... wished I could have gotten closer but it was on private property and I don't think the owner was very happy I was there...
A CalFire chopper helps Palo Alto and Menlo Park firefighters fight a blaze
at the Palo Alto landfill on Wednesday night. The fire was first reported at
around 5:15 p.m. The smoke from the blaze could be seen as far away as
Mountain View.
