It has been a long time since I blogged so there is a lot to catch up on. My first game for the High School season football was at West with the visiting team being Lincoln. I always love the start of the season as the light is just right before the game starts and you can turn out some fantastic photos. I recently reduced how many bodies I carry with me since I do this as a part time gig while in school and interning but it does not stop me from following my first love of photography around.

Is this Stanford's Season?

New Mascot, New Uniforms, 3-0 Record.

Yeah that's right, a new mascot...well at least the mascot uniform. The Stanford Cardinals still have a Tree as a mascot but it looks different...what else that threw me off is Stanford's new uniforms for football! Yes they are ALL BLACK!

San Francisco 49ers at Oakland Raiders

Once again, time to bring the camera out! It looks like I will be covering almost all the Raiders home games this year including Stanford. So, it is Football Magic time!!!

It has been a while since I have shot football so I actually found it very challenging, especially when you forget the most important object from your camera bag, and that would be a monopod to help you hold up the monster 400mm lens I have. Bank of the West Classic 2010

Just like every time you shoot and event, you need to do a check on all your gear. Today I am gearing up to go to Palo Alto to visit Stanford and cover the Bank of the West Classic.

The gear line up includes the following Canon equipment: 5D MKII, 1D MKII and MKIII bodies, 70-200mm 2.8L, 16-35mm 2.8L, 400mm 2.8L series lenses, chargers, batteries, Think Tank International bag, a speed belt also by Think Tank, a MacBook Pro and a mono-pod.

Last year Marion Bartoli of France took the win.

In May once more, I was fortunate enough to photograph the American Le Mans Series held at Monterey's Laguna Seca race track! I always enjoy this track since it has some amazing angles! The day was great, the weather was on the cold side but still nice. I carried my 400mm up and down those hills as well as my new Canon 5D MarkII.

Back in May, I had a photoshoot for the aKDPhi National Convention where over 600 women had shown for this group shot among other photographs that can be found on my Flickr account or on my website at http://kgwebmedia.com

I was lucky how I landed this gig and glad I did.

How did I get this gig? Well a while back, a classmate from high school asked me to see if I could create a website for our graduating class. To me that was a no brainer because one, its for my class, and two, I needed a portfolio for web design for class. After I was finished, the person who saw the website also saw my work and hired me for this event.

The event was a blast!

Biomimicry

First I would like to apologize to all my followers on how bad I have been about updating my blog but with the busy life I have had, it has been the last thing on my mind. Well, I will start back up with a video I made for a class (I started school back up).
