Bank of the West Tennis









To day I had the chance to shoot at the Bank of the West Tennis Tournament held at Stanford University for the newspaper I work for (Daily News Group). The first match was between Japan's Ai Sugiyama and Slovakia's Dominika Cubulkova. Great match all the way to the end. The second match of the night was between Serena Williams and Parry Schnyder.

KRR Protest

A pit-mixed dog named Jewel, stares at the camera on Wednesday in San Mateo. The Peninsula Humane Society is holding its first ever adopt-a-thon on Saturday. The Humane Society will start the adopt-a-thon at 11 a.m. and end at midnight.

Wine is poured in a glass during the 29th annual Los Altos Arts and Wine Festival on Saturday. The event also takes place today from 10am to 6pm in downtown Los Altos.

Tarp Attack




Belmont firefighters investigate on Friday a scene where a tarp flew off a roof hitting a power line connected to a street lamp, which caused it to fall over and land onto an SUV. No one was hurt. Southbound traffic on El Camino Real was closed briefly, and traffic was and rerouted through O’Neill Avenue in Belmont.

4th of July




The 4th of July celebration took place in Redwood City over the weekend where thousands of people enjoyed a parade.

Chili Cook-off

Veteran Volunteer




World War II veteran Bruno DelCastello, of Burlingame, was recently honored for his 6,102 hours of volunteering at the Veterans Affairs hospital in San Francisco since he started in January 1987. The veteran is fighting prostate cancer and plans to keep volunteering as long as he can.

Fatal Accident




A firefighter attends to an injured woman involved in a fatal two-vehicle crash on Thursday in Palo Alto. One person died, and four others were injured and rushed to the emergency room for further examination.
