Moreau Catholic @ American Softball

Menlo-Atherton at Mills High School Baseball

Menlo-Atherton High School visited Mills. Now baseball can be very repetitive so I tried to get a little creative.

Trying to get things you usually don't see from just watching the game is a good way to keep yourself interested in photographing a sport that sometime can be boring.

I don't mind watching the sport, live, but when you shoot it sometimes when it is slow the only thing you get it batters, pitchers, and a slide here and there... and if you are lucky and not asleep behind your camera body you will get that spectacular diving shot in the outfield... hopefully in focus.

St. Francis at Serra High School Baseball

When visiting Serra to photograph, it always seems to be a very photogenic school as far as sports goes. It seems like I come away with some fairly decent shots!

The game went well. The standard shots I usually try to get where easy to get.

Palo Alto Golf Course

"Seven-year-old Palo Alto resident Daniel Zhang, left, watches 5-year-old Mountain View resident Adora Wen sink a put at the Palo Alto Golf Course in Palo Alto on Thursday. Golfers took advantage of the good weather by hitting the green."

On a hunt for "wild art" I had to think on my feet and figure out what was not covered. Covering two counties can be very hart especially when you have two different papers to worry about.

With a few more assignments on my plate still to go, I decided to get a few golfing shots.

It has been a while since I have updated... but have been extremely busy and sick. These photos where taken a couple weeks back when Mercy Burlingame visited Palo Alto. This was one of two games I shot of Palo Alto and they seem to be a very good team!

Breaking News - 4 Oakland Cops Shot - 2 of them DEAD - Now 3 Update and story included in link

I am at work and listening to the scanner. There are 4 cops shot and 2 are dead. This is happening in Oakland as we speak. Though I know a lot of people don't like the police they are people too. These are the people who keep us safe. My respects go out to all police officers who protect us and wish the best to the families who have lost loved ones to criminals who don't care who they hurt.

Drumming for a cause

"San Mateo resident Chris Anthony, 43, will perform a drum roll on Saturday, March 21, 2009, that, with a lot of perseverance and a little luck, could last as long as four hours. If he accomplishes his mission, the feat will break a Guinness World Record and raise money for multiple sclerosis."

The captions sums it all up. I shot this again for the Daily News. It was definatly a fun shoot.

Menlo Park 4 alarm Fire

"Firefighters move a ladder away from a building where a four-alarm fire broke out early Tuesday morning in Menlo Park. Smoke from the fire was spotted at about 7:45 a.m. at the building located on University Drive and Santa Cruz Avenue. One firefighter had minor injuries."

A fire broke out yesterday in Menlo Park before I even got into work. Though they fire chief told me that the fire was not visible, I would of probably got some stellar photos.

At the scene I was also yelled at by MPPD for crossing the police line... now what type of photojournalist would I be if I didn't??? lol If you are a friend of mine on facebook or myspace go check it out!

Timbers at Earthquakes

I shot my first MLS game last night at Back Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara on Saturday. At first I did not know what to expect.

I heard from some of my colleges that the light there is TERRIBLE for shooting but I think it is just as bad when shooting basketball... just a bit cooler though.

So any way, I arrived at the stadium about an hour early so I can find parking and get set up since I had never been there before... well at least at the soccer stadium.

After the hassle of finding where I need to park I gathered up my gear and headed inside. Once inside no one seemed to know on where we can and cannot stand so that was a bit of a pain as well.

Once the game started I started shooting.

The Earthquakes came away with the win in the final minutes of the game defeating the visiting team 1-0

New Bay Area Family!

I was blessed with meeting a wonderful young family who recently just moved to San Ramon from Chicago. They hired me to take a few photos of them around the house.

It was a blast! their little girl was full of smiles and just being a cutie lead to some great photographs.
